- Registered General Nurse
I have now retired fromthe NHS but had been a Registered General Nurse for twenty eight years working in an acute hospital setting specialising in Adult Intensive Care. I have also qualified in the Emmett technique treating people and animals. I treat my clients in their own homes or place of work (stable or field if you’re a horse). I believe that each client should be treated as an individual to get them back to feeling as good or better than they have felt in a long time. This is why each treatment is done for the individual and will evolve as the treatment session progresses. I also do not believe in clients signing up for an everlasting number of treatment sessions.
When I came across the technique I was amazed at how fast it worked yet a part of me was still suspicious and wondered about the placebo effect from the fact someone was touching me. That was until the first time I saw the technique used on a horse. You cannot have a placebo effect on a horse and what I saw happen on that day changed my life forever.
I treat people in their home or place of work.
With over 25 years experience as a nurse I have now trained in the Emmett Technique to (Advance Practitioner level 6) and I have had some truly amazing results and a common statement from clients is why did I not find you before or how did you do that. I am also an Emm-Tech tutor and have great fun sharing this incredible technique.
Since qualifying in the technique on horses I have successfully treated a whole range of horses from happy hackers to top competition horses and so much in between.
It's amazing and so satisfying to see the look on the owners face when they see the reaction of their horse when they relax and movement restrictions just seem to disappear. Dogs respond to treatment even quicker and I have even treated cats and a goat.
My amazing Emmett journey continues now I'm an instructor teaching the technique on horses and dogs.
To be one of a few people in the World teaching this is such an honour and privilege and I am really enjoying the journey my life is taking.
I am an EMMETT for Animals Instructor.
